For children Ages 5 yrs. and up

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk, even though it’s the middle of the day. Safety is the number one priority when viewing a total solar eclipse. Join Bob Kelly, an  “Off the Path” Eclipse Ambassador, to learn about the upcoming solar eclipse and how to view the eclipse safely! Following the program, make your own eclipse craft, and take home a pair of eclipse viewing glasses.
