New Rochelle Public Library commemorates Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) with the screening of the documentary Zaida, followed by a Q & A discussion.

Henri Parens escaped from the Holocaust at the age of 12, and went on to become a globally recognized psychoanalyst, dedicating his life's work to the prevention of prejudice.

Zaida is the documentary film about his life, made by his granddaughter Sophie Parens. The award-winning documentary short has reached audiences across the country, screening at film festivals, schools, museums and community centers nationwide.

The discussion following the film will be moderated by Dr. Elena Procario-Foley, Br. John G. Driscoll Professor of Jewish-Catholic Studies, Director, Core Curriculum, Professor, Religious Studies, Iona University.
