The New Rochelle Art Association presents the Adolph Grant Show. It is named after Adolph Grant, who was a patron of the NRAA, and a successful businessman who was very active in civic affairs as Chairman of the Zoning Commission and as a Rotarian. At the NRAA"s first Sketch Exhibition in 1921, he pledged an annual $50 prize for the best sketch. By the year 1932, the award was given for the best work of 2-dimensional art by a New Rochelle artist, and has remained with stipulation to the present. Today, the award is $100which is awarded to the best 2-D work by a New Rochelle resident, and the Best In Show Award. Ribbons will also be awarded in each category.
