The life of Abraham Lincoln, from his days as a backwoodsman to his love of Ann Rutledge and his romance with Mary Todd, is depicted in this film adaptation of Robert E. Sherwood’s Pulitzer Prize winning play. Actor Raymond Massey, reprising his role as Lincoln from 472 Broadway performances, and cinematographer James Wong Howe were nominated for Academy Awards.
