The New Rochelle Art Association presents the Adolph Grant Show. It is named after Adolph Grant, who was a patron of the NRAA, and was a successful businessman, very much active in civic affairs as Chairman of the Zoning Commission and as a Rotarian. At our first Sketch
Exhibition in 1921, he pledged an annual $50 prize for the best sketch. By the year 1932, the award was given for the best work of 2-dimensional art by a New Rochelle artist, and has remained with stipulation to the present. Today, the award is $100. There will be monetary awards for the Adolph Grant Award which is awarded to the best 2-D work of a New Rochelle resident, and the Best In Show Award. Ribbons will also be awarded in each category.
Exhibit Reception for the Adolph Grant Award Show: Sun., November 3, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
