The Past Pages Society: NRPL History Book Club

Are you a history buff—or simply curious about the stories that shaped our world? Join us for the launch of The Past Pages Society, the New Rochelle Public Library’s new monthly history book club.

Each month, we’ll explore engaging titles that connect history with art, culture, politics, and the stories often left out of textbooks. Selected titles will highlight American, local, and world history.

We’ll kick off the series in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, reading Thomas Paine and the Promise of America by Harvey J. Kaye—a fitting choice as Paine spent his final years in New Rochelle.
