In this virtual presentation, Bob Finkelstein, Co-President of Healthy Yards New Rochelle, will take you through the process of how to convert an area of lawn into a pollinator garden, including pre-planning, lawn removal, area prep, cardboard coverage, pollinator plant selection and installation, and mulching.

Bob Finkelstein is Co-President of Healthy Yards New Rochelle, Co-Chair of the Native  Plant Center Steering Committee at WCC, and a member of the City School District of New Rochelle Green Team working with schools to plan and plant pollinator gardens. As part of the HYNR Garden Buddy Program he likes to advise gardeners just getting started with native plants to take small steps and learn as they move forward. Our virtual presentation will hopefully inspire you to remove an area of  lawn to start or expand a pollinator garden.
