Calling All Aspiring Novelists! Join our NRPL Writing Community.
Every November millions of writers strive to write approximately 50,000 words a month (1,667 words a day) to celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Aspiring novelists take this time to work on their novels without editing; they focus solely on their writing project.
In this five-session workshop, participants will set their own writing goal. Each week, class members will work through journaling their own goals, prompts, creative visualizations and meditations to finish a goal or a writing project.
Students can choose their own personal project for the month of November such as:
- Journaling daily
- Meditating and recording a prompt
- Morning Pages (The Artist Way, by Cameron, Julia)
- Working on a vision board and writing a short scene
- A short story
- Writing____words per day (if they wanted to participate in National Novel Writing Month it would be 1,667 words a day)
Course syllabus
It's best to join for all five sessions, but all are welcome to come as they are able. Registration requested.
