Join us for a special event for the final installment in the NRPL VROOM! Vroom! Film Series, when NRPL librarian and film historian Chris Poggiali welcomes filmmakers Brian Darwas and Jennifer Carchietta for a discussion following screenings of their documentaries This is Long Beach (2013) and Three Mile (2015).

Filmmaker Brian Darwas shadows three generations of custom car and hot rod aficionados, the Long Beach Cavaliers, as each member - from the the 1940s to the present - recounts detailed memories and pays homage to the cars that bonded them in a lifelong brotherhood. (53 Minutes)

Three Mile (2015) 
Follow the Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop on a cross country trip to what most people consider the birthplace of hot rodding, the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats. Watch as they break the record for the world's fastest Ford Y-block and be there to experience the sun on your face and salt in the air when it all comes down to that three mile pass.(60 minutes)
