Calling all sewists!

The New Rochelle Public Library is excited to announce the launch of our new Open Sewing Program. Patrons can now register to come into the library to use our state-of-the-art Necchi sewing machines.

Whether you're an experienced seamstress, budding fashion designer, home decor enthusiast, or you just need to hem pants, this program offers the perfect opportunity to work on your sewing projects in a relaxed environment.

Before using the machines, patrons will be required to demonstrate proficiency, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. While this is not an instructional class, an experienced sewer will be on hand to provide guidance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during your sewing session.

Patrons are responsible for bringing their own supplies, including fabrics, threads, patterns, and any other materials necessary for their projects. Space is limited. NEW ROCHELLE PUBLIC LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED.

Open sewing begins promptly at 10:00 am. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the session, your spot may be given to someone on the waiting list.
