Dharma Gentle – Easy Beginner Level / Restorative
This class is ideal for beginners of all ages and anyone seeking a gentle, grounding practice. The sequence is designed to ease the body into wakefulness, tone the body, and calm the mind. While the structure below serves as a guide, the pace and emphasis may vary depending on the students and the flow of the class.
Class Overview:
A) Pranayama – Breath Awareness (10–15 min)
Guided beginner breathing techniques to calm the nervous system and center the mind.
B) Physical Asanas – Postures (35–40 min)
- Extended warm-up sequence to loosen the body
- Simple standing postures and stretches
- Foundational variations of key poses, including:
- Shoulder stand (with accessible modifications)
- Forward bends
- Gentle backbends
- Spinal twists
C) Deep Healing Relaxation – Basic Guided Savasana (10 min)
A deeply restful integration period to restore the body and mind.
D) Meditation – Simple and Accessible (3–5 min)
A short and approachable meditation to conclude the session in stillness.
In all Dharma Yoga classes, variations are offered for each posture, ranging from the most basic to more advanced, depending on each student’s ability and experience. Resting postures are offered throughout the class, and students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and take breaks when needed
