It's wartime and two young people fall in love with the clock ticking toward the end of the young man's short leave. Judy Garland at her most appealing---and she doesn't sing a note.  This film is a perfect blend of comedy, romance and New York in the wartime forties, and is one of Minelli and Garland's most heartfelt films, combined with a real behind the scenes love story taking place before our eyes.

New Rochelle Plays Hollywood is a  film series presented by the New Rochelle Public Library. Prior to the screening, film aficionado Les Srager will introduce the history of the film and its creative personnel with a discussion period following the screening.
